Continuous day-round observations are carried out since February 20, 1983. The geographical coordinates of the station are φ = 52.84° N; λ = 27.47° E. The station is located 9 km northwest of the town of Soligorsk. Seismometers are installed in a salt mine of the Second Mining Department of the “Belaruskaliy” Industrial Association. A drift located in the mining zone of the third potassium horizon at a depth of 600 m below day level or 436 m b.s.l. was chosen for this purpose. Recording equipments are installed in the building of the Mining Department. The connection with seismometers is established by phone using data transmission facilities.
